Study Q&A Notes

Margery writes almost weekly for the Villisca Review/Stanton Viking, ‘a community newspaper with a sense of humor’ and occasionally for Red Oak Express, a more traditional paper published in Red Oak, Iowa.  Stanton, a historically Swedish community of about seven hundred and Villisca, a similarly sized town which began partly because of nearby coal mining, and Red Oak, known for the sacrifices made to ensure freedom for allies and Americans, each have active public schools and loyal supporters.  Margery’s earliest articles for both papers were written as a part of her work in public health before she chose to un-complicate life by eliminating her public health position so she could devote more time to writing.

Pesky Flies Fly to Pieces?

Have you noticed how smart this year’s flies are?   Quick, too.  Or maybe I’m slowing down.  Recently, out of six that declared residency, four were truly award winners in the world of flies.   Not that I didn’t aggressively try to reduce that number....
